Megan Whitlock - AssociateMegan Whitlock joined Johnson, Trent, West & Taylor, L.L.P. in January, 2012. She was graduated from South Texas College of Law with a Doctorate of Jurisprudence, and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in November 2005. Prior to pursuing her legal career, Ms. Whitlock resided in London, England and worked for the Labour Party’s media attack and rebuttal unit during Tony Blair’s 2001 re-election campaign. She subsequently worked for the government relations group of The Dow Chemical Company in Washington, D.C. Ms. Whitlock focuses her practice in the areas of insurance defense litigation, automobile liability, personal injury litigation, general maritime defense and casualty litigation. Ms. Whitlock has served as second chair at jury trials in Harris County, McLennan County and Fort Bend County, Texas, and has represented both Plaintiffs and Defendants to successful verdicts. Ms. Whitlock is particularly interested in the medical damages aspect of civil trial litigation and conducts continuing education seminars for nurses regarding the valuation of damages and litigation involving patients suffering from reflex sympathetic dystrophy. Ms. Whitlock is passionately involved with the Texas Children’s Hospital neonatal intensive care unit and co-founded an endowed fellowship to benefit neonatology fellows. In addition, Ms. Whitlock serves on the board of directors for a local charitable organization helping children with learning disabilities transition from high school to college. Education
