Lawrence J. West practices in the areas of construction defect, premises liability and complex commercial litigation.  For more than twenty years he has defended corporations, general contractors, small business owners and individuals in personal injury and business-related cases.  He has been recognized as a leader by his peers.  He has received the AV rating, the highest rating in legal ability and ethical standards, for 10 years in a row.  He has served on the faculty for the State Bar of Texas Expert Witness Group. He is an active member of the Construction Law Practice Group and a Co-Author of the Compendium of Texas Law for the US Law Network.  He is also part of the US Law Rapid Response Team.  In addition to trying cases, Mr. West has appealed cases to the Supreme Court of Texas and on more than one occasion, persuaded the Supreme Court to overrule an Appellate Court decision.
